A: No, your eyes can never get crossed if you hold them. There are some
people are born with problems that can lead to crossed eyes. But, you can not just
get them by crossing your eyes.
Q: Can my eyes get stuck behind my head?
A: No, they can not get stuck behind your head.
Q: There's this kid where the eyes go in different directions why is that?
A: Some people are born with eyes that don't match very well and their brain has difficuties learning to use 2 eyes together, So the brain picks out the better eye and has the other eye go in a different direction, so it is ignored.
It does not make them stupid or blind, it's just a little different way of
seeing things.
Q: Does wearing other people's glasses ruin my vision?
A: No, but it can give you an awful headache. Your eyes will try to find a way to see through the lenses, and this can be uncomfortable, just like wearing the wrong shoes to walk around in.
Q: Do I have to wear glasses? Will my eyes get worse if I don't?
A: Your eyes will not be made worse if you don't wear your glasses, but you won't see your best. Your eyes will grow and change if you wear your glasses or not.
Q: What is the age limit to get contacts?
A: Glasses can be used at any age, but with contacts you need to be old enough to follow all the rules and be able to get the lenses on and off of your eye. This is usually around age 11-12 for girls and age 15-16 for boys. You can always try even if you're younger, but only if your parents and your eye doctor think you are ready.
Q: Is anything scary in an eye exam?
A: No, the doctors try to keep it as non-scary as possible, so you won't cry or not be able to sit still.^_^
